Brief

In© was tasked with creating an innovative way to build awareness of Rugby World Cup sponsor Land Rover’s involvement in the tournament and the Trophy Tour. After delivering a variety of concepts the client chose a giant floating rugby ball that would be floated down the River Thames and opened to allow World Cup winners Martin Johnson and Lewis Moody to reveal a bespoke vehicle.

Delivery

Our engineering team designed and built the giant ball in three weeks using a floating pontoon, shipping container, framework and inflatable surround created by a leading balloon company. With the car inside, the ball was floated and towed down the River Thames to a pontoon where it was driven out in front of the press at Tower Bridge.

Outputs

In© filmed the event and produced a 90-second edit and stills while supporting on b-roll footage and interviews. We also managed a number of live UK and global media broadcast and radio interviews on the event.
